I began with a solid sterling rectangle. Then I hand drew a cute little Daschund, facing away, with a heart shape on his behind (smile) on copper with a resist, and etched it in an acid bath. Once cleaned and cut, I stamped little heart-shaped paw prints all around the sterling backing. Lastly, I made the copper circles/rings attaching it to the sterling chain, also with little pawprints. Super cute! Very classy and sassy! The pendant and chain are both oxidized, or antiqued, to bring out the natural color of the metals and add depth. Perfect gift - have a Doxie item no one else will!

As this piece was completely ad hoc by hand, it is one of a kind!

The pendant itself is about 1.25". You may choose your chain length from the menu. You may also choose a few words or date to be hand-stamped on the reverse side - optional.
